That problem was solved, the navigator again made the firmware and the cards worked fine after that, but after the time, right in the time of the trip, this message appeared.

I solved the problem, the memory card broke, I copied everything to a new memory card and everything worked.

I have been using Garmin products since 2012 and still have the same SD card in them.

Never have reformed any of the SD cards.

That goes for 7 different units I use.

The hiking Units have had maps deleted many times on the SD cards.
I have add small topo maps and larger topo maps to all the units and have never run into any type of problem reading any of the map.

This is also true for all the LMT units I have.

When using Garmin Express they are very hard on removal and install on both the internal and Sd cards and never have run into problems.

Maybe I am lucky about this.

OK, in the end the problem is, I have another broken memory card from the DVR, I also inserted it into the Navigator, and there was the same message. Live and learn.

Well something is wrong with your Nuvi to have now 2 SD cards with problems.

Since you patched your Nuvi you killed the warranty on it so it can not be replaced or repaired.

Next time use your smartphone for other GPS trips like the US.

Then you will not have to patch a Garmin Drive 51 LMT.

There are many GPS Apps posted here that you can use.......
