TT XXL 540s World Edition (Problem with map)

I purchased a used XXL 540s for 20.00 from a guy and he said he tried to install a new map but it has an error saying You cannot use this map on this device. The map that is on the device now is Canada-Alaska_890_4224. When it was new it was Canada USA Mexico Map.

Can this be fixed or did i waste 20 bucks?? and where do I start

Have you tried running FastActivate Premium to activate the map & patch the navcore?

Yes, it has fast activate on the root drive so i ran that, but still the same error...

Did it actually create a .dct file in your map folder; and did you also patch the navcore?

Maybe dump the F/A and take a new copy

PS remember you need the Premium version to patch the navcore, not the Light version

I do not see a .dct file in the Canada Alaska map folder.... I'm using a Premium Fast Activate that came with the map and I ran all options. It says Nacore has been patched already...

I'll D/l a new copy of F/A and see what happens...

STOP PRESS!!!

There is currently no meta available for that map so it cannot be activated.
We currently only have metas for North_America_2GB 890.4222 or United_States_2GB 890.4222 which F/A would fetch automatically, so, you need to wait or try one of these "meta'd" maps or find an 885 version which we have all metas for

PS that is one of our MAJOR problems at the moment. There are around 175 new maps of which we have around 133 but ONLY 33 metas at present.

Our meta guru is trying to re-hack TT servers to get these as they closed the previous loophole...buggers!

Is there a way to restore the TT back to it's original state?? I do not have a back up as i purchased it second hand....

Just replace that map folder with one which we have a meta for then run F/A again. Your navcore (9430) is correct anyway so all you need is a working map.
