I have a GO920 and my friend has a GO720, both running version 9.702 Truck software. I've substituted the 9.541 bin folder but the fix only works if I do a reset before switching the devices on. If I switch them off then on again without a reset it finds the satellites but won't lock on no matter how long I leave it. However it works fine with the 9.541 software so I presume that substituting the file(s) in the bin folder is only part of the solution on some devices. We use the these when we're caravanning so need to use the truck software. Is there likely to be an update for the 9.702 truck software to fix this. Has anyone any suggestions.

HI ,you didnt need to replace the bin folder as that is to solve the time reset problem which the 720 and 920 dont suffer from,as you have found out what they do suffer from is the sat nav lock issue ,
Too solve this, update your units using TomTom home ,It will offer you a "quickgpsfix" update and your units will find and lock the sats very quickly after that. Unfortunately it looks like this will only last 7 days so needs doing once a week which is annoying unless someone can find a fix .If you only use them occasionally just update before you need them.

Thanks, it's working fine with the GPSFix update so, as you say, I'll just need to keep updating it before use.

I use navcore 9.510 in my GO 700 - no probs. Today (after about half a year delay) launched it - in 5-10 mins it fixed several satellites, fixed location. After that went to "Set clock", taped "Synchronize" and clock works well.
