same map. same size. I don't understand, what masochism do you prefer, but why not just to use proper map with right meta.txt? Europe_Central_1000.8672 for ex.
Hello
My device is:
ttgo.bif:
DeviceName=TomTom XL
DeviceVersionHW=XL
DeviceSerialNumber=GPxxxxxxxxxx
BootLoaderVersion=55282
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9510
ApplicationVersion=1234792.2
CurrentMap=
CurrentMapVersion=0.0
Map(s):
E:\Central_Europe_1000_8672\
Storage:
Size 1906MB, Free 840MB
I had a problem with generate dct file. I thing I have a solution. for example:
You have the Central_Europe_1000_8672 map and you want to active that used to FastActive program, but in Update_meta.txt file is only:
50 6D EA 28 EC C6 F0 5C C5 CF B3 E4 F7 50 9C B5 Europe_Central-101375.meta ; Europe_Central 1000_8672
Of course before you checked in compatibility table your navcore and device.
And It's look like everything should be worked, but NOt this time xD
I saw something, when you downloaded maps for TomTom the files in catalog looks that:
The solution is the rename the files in Central_Europe_1000_8672 catalog:
The file name is the same how it is in meta.txt file:
Now if You try again active the maps it will be completed.
now the file exists:
I do not know What it will be for example on USA and Canadian and etc. maps, but You can look at it maybe this is the solution of your problem.
If I do that on TomTom Via 720 it worked.
If I do the same on this device(TomTom XL) an error appears:
You can't use this map on this device
Anyone have some ideas?
I did hard reset, The navcore version is compatibiliti. I do not know What can I do..?
Sorry for my English

So what? You really need a map, or just map name?
Maps Central_Europe_1000_8672 and Europe_Central 1000_8672 are just equal - difference only in map name. You just bothering about map name? Just open (use notepad) file [map].pna and edit mapname there as you like - name it "MyMap" or as you like - TT will show you this exact name of map.
It can be the problem? In file (.pna) or what will be wrong with my TT maps? I need new meta file or maps?
