    Default Go700

    Hi all
Whats the newest maps that can be used with navcore 7.903?
Anyone know a navcore after 7.903 that works with the old G0700?
Not updated in ages so I am kind of starting over with this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks

There are plenty of v1010 maps available that will run on that very old navcore but if you update this you'll be able to run ANY map we have a meta for

see [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] for navcores and post #10 here for where to find the maps and also compatibility chart if you really don't want to change your navcore [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

I think Navcore 9.510 for 64bit devices wil be a good option
But your HDD is only 2.5gb only good for some small maps.
There must be a solution to replace your HDD with an SD slot or a Compact Flash card, search the Internet
Probably a Bootloader update is also necessary
TomTom GO 910 - Navcore 9.510 Bootloader 5.5128 Hitachi HDD replaced by SDHC 32GB Class 10
    TomTom Rider v2 - Navcore 9.500 v5 Menu Bootloader 5.5128 32MB available 5.1MB BeNeLux
    TomTom One N14644 Canada 310 - Navcore 9.510 Bootloader 5.5011
TomTom on PDA iPAQ 2210 - HAiCOM HI-305III GPS Receiver PCMCIA - Navcore 7.450 Still running some latest maps.

Actually - this or older 9.430 can be used -I used both of them on my Go700

For sure - as there very old 4.xxx on board. So, if going to replace HDD with SD/CF cards - first of all upgrade bootloader through your HDD first to actual 5.5xx version.

Big thanks to rusigor for the link to the pictures. I've just converted my TT Go 700 to a 16GB using a micro SD adapter, virtually the same as in rusigor's.

I sourced it off Ali Express but later found I could have got the same Compact Flash to Micro SD adapter more quickly off eBay. Just search for "Micro SD Extreme CF Adapter". Prices around £10. (There are also lots of offers of dual slot adapters - no idea if they would work in this situation so I would stick to single SD or single Micro SD versions - see rusigor's pictures).

I found a You Tube video which helped with taking it apart [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] but note that it is a video about battery replacement so not exactly the same. For anyone trying this, there is silver foil (presumably some kind of RF shield) all round the bottom of the unit which needs to be peeled back (not off). But it is easy if taken carefully.
