The ttgo.bak and ori are basically to fool Home into thinking you use a different NC, nothing more, nothing less.
I agree with what you say, but where does it get its info from? I don't want 9400 - I have modified an Xl and a Start with the two line and it works perfectly. I have tried the same with my Go530 and it does not work - the ttgo.biff keeps coming back with my original 8351 NC. I have tried creating ttgo.biff, ttgo.bak & ttgo.ori file with the two 9400 lines, but the original biff keeps coming back.
My self generated ori file shows the 9400 lines but TTHome still wants me to update.

The changes to prevent the update must be done in the ttgo.bak, insert the two lines for the 9.400 NC and Home won't bother you anymore.
Are you sure you have the right values in your ttgo.bak?

I changed my wife's XL with the two 9400 lines, deleted ttgo.bif, rebooted and is no update offered in TT Home, the ttgo.bif keeps the two 9400 lines, and ttgo.ori is generated.
I did exactly the same thing on my Go530 and the regenerated ttgo.bif always returns my old 8351NC, and no ttgo.ori is generated.
I have played around with various combinations ttgo.bif/bak/ori to no avail. Every time I reboot the 530 I get 8315 back again.

Hence my question of where does ttgo.bif get the info to regenerate.

FYI - I have now worked out that if I connect my 530 to the pc, cancel TT Home, use explorer to change ttgo.bif with the two 9400 line, then start up TT Home the 9400 NC is not offered. Great but ttgo.bif changes back the next time the 530 reboots.

Simply use Home and to the update, after that patch the Navcore.

The 9.400 is already outdate, please use the 9.401.
You can patch using FatsActivate premium or any othe tool based on the original Easyusetools by TTUSER.
If you need other emulations, use the version I posted or the DSA tool to create your own version.
Right now there is no SE version avaiable to my knowledge.
