If I put the navcore in internal memoryit doesn't seem to work on my One_XL ... stuck on the TomTom boot screen.
It works fine if I put it on SD card.
Any idea why?
Possible the internal storage of your device is damaged or broken.
I have updated my TT ONE 2nd edition with the new bootloader 5.5120 and navcore 9.541TZ, and the
United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_1030_9519 map.
Thanks to this thread it all went very smoothly(except for the above glitch)...so thank you so much everyone. Its nice to keep the old TT ONE running for a little bit longer.
I have yet to try the TT out for real, so I dont know if it has fixed the GPS Week Number Rollover problem that my satnav was having. (Would lose the signal occasionally and sometimes had big problems locking on to the satellites).
However I did try it outside for a few mins and the time did look to still have a problem still. I will try it out over the next week. I am not to too bothered about the incorrect arrival time, but would like the satnav to work better with the satellites then it did.
Thanks again.
A further update. Because the above did not fix the time problem, I checked the GPS chipset for my device. I had read that it used the SirfStar III GPS chipset. However today I discovered (by holding down the on button whilst turning on) that my satnav uses the GL1 chipset.
So I then used the ttconv download in the thread "WNRO GL1 Clock Error/Sat Fixes Workaround" and my TT ONE now displays the correct time and I think is latching onto satellites much quicker. I think that I have got there in then end thanks to all your help.

Hi mate, I have been given my fathers old tom tom one 3rd edition 512MB and it is ancient with a map over 10yrs old, so looking at getting it more up to date, I am guessing I need this newer navcore and a newer uk map installed, if I download this navcore, how do I get it installed onto the sat nav? Do I just delete all the current contents, then copy all the files from this navcore onto the units internal memory using my pc? then run the fast activate program and then boot the unit up? Sorry for so many questions, but I am totally new to all this, and it looks like you have had success doing this, any help or advice would be much appreciated, thanks.

Please do not post "thanks" but use the "reputation" star(*) bottom/left or "like" bottom/left buttonsS i m p l e s
PS If you find any dead links on MY posts please pm me & I'll try to fix/reload
Does this navcore supports TTS 7 voices? I can't get it to work on a Tomtom Start 32mb - 1GB.
Anyone? Please.
Another thing. My swap file that is on my GPS is only 8mb and not 16mb. I copied again the 16mb swap file, and after a reboot i verified that the swap file is again 8mb.

Thanks to everything on this forum I have now got my Dads old tom tom one 3rd edition updated with this se navcore, but I also have noticed the swap file changes to 8MB in size, it is 16MB when copied onto the device, but then after booting and checking the device it is 8MB in size, is this the same for everyone else that has this navcore installed?
This is working great with TomTom One 130 with version 1250 maps. Also fixed the GPS rollover issue. IT allowed me to resurrect an old but still useful piece of technology. Now I can install the GPS into my 2000s era car for that period look! :-)
