    Default GO930 connection issue

I have dug out my old Go930 to update it. Have downloaded the latest version of TT Home however when I connect the nav to my PC it is not showing up anywhere. TT Home says device not connected and it does not show up as a connected deice anywhere in Windows. PC operating system is Windows 10 X64 ver 1909. Any ideas please?

Maybe try an alternative USB port if you have one? (I'm guessing it has been charged for a couple of hours first?)
Does it start up OK with the black dos-like screen first then normal menus etc? Try holding the power button in until you see that dos screen THEN release the button.

Thanks for the reply. Left on charge for a few hours. Tried different ports and a different cable. Tried doing the reset thing. If I hold down the power button for a few seconds, it does show the black screen, but then does not progress any further. If i just press the power button normally it starts up fine. Another thing is when I put a blank formated SD card into the unit, it does not write the ttgo.bif file to it. If I put the card in with the new map on it, the map is listed so it obviously must be recognising the card is there. However without the ttgo.bif file I can't get fast activate to work

Try to just copy the ttgo.bif from internal onto the card then you should be able to activate it.

Is there a way of doing that the nav unit itself as it wont show up in on the computer?
The nav unot already has a patched navcore on it. If I did a factory reset would that make a difference or would it revert back to the original tt system?

You've nothing to lose by doing a factory reset so you may as well try?
